On March 6th, Cindy saw her neurosurgeon for her VP shunt (she has intracranial hypertension). He said testing showed it needed a revision surgery to repair the valve and drain, so he put in orders to get the surgery scheduled.
On March 7th, Cindy lost vision in her right eye. The left had gone dark years prior so this left her completely blind. I rushed her to the ER and they worked quickly to get the on-call neurosurgeon to come in. Between Saturday evening and Sunday, a plan was put in place which included surgery on March 11th.
Here’s the amazing part of this new suffering. Cindy, laying in a hospital bed, completely blind at this point, talked with four people on Monday, March 9th. All four gave their lives to Christ and will follow up with getting baptized at their churches this coming weekend! Cindy is allowing God to work through her even with this new suffering that has her frightened about her future. Praise God!
Always remember, God is with you in everything. It’s not easy to recognize sometimes but it is as simple as calming your mind and listening for His voice to guide you.
