Power of the Mind

Our mind is the most powerful force we have available to us to make changes in our lives. Remember the old phrase, “Garbage in, garbage out?” There’s proof this statement holds more truth than we realize. What we tell ourselves and what we hear about ourselves can have a dramatic effect physiologically and psychologically. Our subconscious mind is always listening and ready to influence your conscious mind based on what it hears. What you dwell on expands. In a world filled with negativity, stress, and distraction understanding and harnessing the power of your mind is essential.

Modern neuroscience confirms what many ancient wisdom traditions have taught for centuries: your thoughts are not just fleeting mental events. They are active forces that physically change your brain. This is called neuroplasticity – the brain’s ability to reorganize itself by forming new neural connections. Every thought you think triggers chemical and electrical signals. Repeated thoughts strengthen certain pathways, making them more automatic. – Create “I am” statements. “I am” statements claim what you want today. As you tell your mind “I am”, it begins to influence your actions to make that statement a reality.
– Catch negative thoughts and replace them immediately with truth. “I’m not enough” becomes “I am equipped and strengthened by God.”
– Track how your thoughts affect your mood and actions. Celebrate small wins.
